I’m Cara, a lifelong food enthusiast who believes that cooking is more than just following recipes—it’s an alchemical blend of science, magic, and emotion. I’ve honed my skills in bustling restaurants to my cozy home kitchen. These days I cook exclusively in my home kitchen for my husband and I. 

My persona as the Amateur Food Alchemist embodies both my tangible joy of ingredients and where they come from, and the intangible wonder of fantasy.

Non Foodie Fact: I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater and creative writing. I've spent more than enough time involved in community theater productions. I am currently writing sci-fi fantasy series that has nothing to do with food. My Amateur Food Alchemy persona embodies my love of food, fantasy, and playing make believe.
